Chamber Music Festival of Lexington
Lexington, Kentucky
From 2012 - 2016, I served as the Executive Director of the Chamber Music Festival of Lexington.
I was responsible for long-term organizational planning, budgeting, board and financial development, program design, and program execution.
During my time, I focused on creating new programs that animated public spaces through chamber music. The Composer-in-Residence program was the first of its kind in the country to collaboratively co-commission works with a Philharmonic Orchestra. Featured in the Chicago Sun-Times.
What is the Chamber Music Festival of Lexington?
The Chamber Music Festival of Lexington occurs every fall in Lexington and was founded in 2007 by arts patrons Charlie Stone, Charles Thompson, and Nathan Cole—Los Angeles Philharmonic First Associate Concertmaster (and Lexington native). The Festival brings together a quintet of world-renowned musicians to offer central Kentuckians performances at the Downtown Arts Center, pop-up concerts, educational programming, and a world-class guest artist.
