Estill Development Alliance
Estill County, Kentucky
From 2017-2018, my colleague Savannah Barrett and I worked with the Estill Development Alliance to create a plan that served as a Strategic Plan for EDA and a broader community and economic development plan for Estill County, Kentucky.
The Estill Development Alliance is a historic Community and Economic Development organization in Estill County, Kentucky, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Our focus with this project was to create a clearly community-driven long-term strategy that could drive the EDA’s work over the coming years. The Estill Development Alliance Strategic Plan was funded by a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission. The framing of the plan was guided by Joe Crawford and Jessica Aldridge, and the plan itself was created by with robust input from Estill Countians.
