CivicLex announced as UK Cornerstone Community Innovation Partner

Everyone at CivicLex is so excited to be this year’s UK Cornerstone Community Innovation Partner!

We already do so much with the University, from partnering with faculty to hosting a weekly council meeting viewing party meet up, from housing practicum and fellowship placements to workshops and events for students. One of the main reasons we do all of this is to help UK students understand they have agency and power in our community with the hope that they will stay after graduation. Lexington can be the city they want it to be if they get engaged with how local decisions are made.

We’re eager to see what having a new home on campus can do to bring more young people into local civic life!
